"Alaw Goch"
In 1857 Miskin Manor and estate was sold to the well known philanthropist, David Williams. As a renowned Welsh Bard he was given the Bardic Title of "Alaw Goch". He concentrated his efforts in establishing the world famous National Eisteddfod in Wales and oversaw much of the building work at the Manor
