Miskin Manor - Gardeners TipsAugust is the time of plenty harvest vegetables and flowers and to enjoy. But still there is work to be done; dead heading of flowers and weeding, plan for Spring and next Summer.

Onions will now be ripening so scrape some soil away from the blub and start to bend over the leaves.

Take Fuschia cutting in sandy compost you can still sow Springs Cabbage early in the month and Winter Lettuce and Winter Spring Onions later in August.

Keep watch for diseases, make sure plant have water; especially baskets, tubs, etc.

Keep cutting flowers for the house, especially Sweet Peas.
